We observed a significant interaction between trial-type (uninterrupted, interrupted) and search-type (Exp. 1: search for new targets, or Exp. 2: search repeatedly for the same target) on primary task accuracy. Accuracy was significantly lower during interrupted trials in Experiment 1 but not during Experiment 2. The stars denote significance (*p < .05, **p < .01, ***p < .001).
