Note In Experiment 2, relative target-rate effects occurred mainly in terms of miss rates, such that the relative-rate conditions significantly modulated the performance of detecting each type of target. The same target type was missed more when it was relatively rare. There was a similar relative target-rate effect in terms of hit RTs, but the effect was more visible with color targets.
